Joe Nestel joins the Haverford College baseball coaching staff for the 2025 season, bringing a wealth of collegiate playing and coaching experience. As a collegiate pitcher, Nestel competed at the Division I level for both the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and Gardner-Webb University.

He graduated from UMBC in 2018 and quickly transitioned into coaching, starting his career with Ascent Athlete.

Nestel continued his professional development, earning a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Gardner-Webb in 2023. Alongside his role at Haverford, he coaches the 17U team for EL1 Sports and works as a Customer Service Representative at Gateway Specialty Insurance.
