HAVERFORD, Pa.- The Haverford field hockey team welcomed 22 alumnae back to campus for its annual Alumnae Game on Saturday at Swan Field. After the contest, both sides met for a tailgate that served as a chance to reconnect with the Fords who have graduated from the program. 

The teams battled in a game that featured great goalkeeping on both sides and a wealth of penalty corner opportunities. The contest was a chance for a large crop of incoming freshman student-athletes to test their mettle against experienced competition. The alumni team edged the 2016 varsity with a 2-1 decision.  

The alumnae team consisted of Bridget Gibbons '13, Sydney Hyder '13, Maggie  (Cronin) Benkert '11, Mary Hobbs '13, Margaret Selsor '12, Catherine Aronowitz '15, Brooke Kelly '15, Rachel Grunden '16, Sarah Waldis '16, Sarah Christ '13, Allison Martin '16, Lindsey Lopes '16, Christine Quake '13, Megan Reilly '14, Kelly Hancock '16, Alexa Pesce '13, Meeran Ahn '08, Alyssa Mayo '13, Molly Braun '12, Sydney Cone '16, Ariel Herm '10, and Juliana Morgan-Trostle '12.

Haverford will travel to Cabrini for the 2016 season opener on Sept. 1. Centennial Conference play gets underway with a home game vs. Dickinson on Sept. 14.
