Recap | Box Score

The Haverford College field hockey team needed some late magic in this 2018 classic against Gettysburg. Although the contest was scoreless for just over 55 minutes, the scoring came quickly in the closing minutes. The Bullets struck first despite the Fords controlling the majority of the contest. Playing the old 70-minute format, Haverford knotted the score with just under four minutes remaining in regulation as Ariana Sulpizio '21 finished a penalty corner on a pass from Roxy Vassighi '21. Playing 7v7 during the extra period, the Fords wasted little time as Lucy Tortolani '20 hammered home a long pass into the circle from Caroline Aronowitz '20 for the 2-1 victory. That goal came just under three minutes into the overtime and allowed the Fords to finish the game with a 14-7 edge in shots and 10-5 advantage in penalty corners.
