Full NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad Release
BROCKPORT, N.Y.. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced the 2020-21 Division III National Academic Squad on Tuesday morning, and the Haverford College field hockey program placed all 27 eligible student-athletes on the annual listing. The Fords tied with the University of Rochester for the second-most selections in the nation, falling just one short of Johns Hopkins' 28 selection. This year's honors also represent the first time in Haverford program history that each eligible student-athlete was selected for the squad.
The Division III National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-2021 academic year.
Four-time honorees for the Fords included seniors Kelsey Chai, Maura Herbertson, Emma Iacobucci, Leela Krishnan, Allison Lynch, and Ariana Sulpizio. Roxy Vassighi earned the award for the third time.
Juniors Caroline Channell, Ravenel Davis, Amanda Grebas, Sophia Mercado, Julie Post, and Keishla Sanchez also all earned the honor for a third time, while second-time honorees include Hannah Roth, Dalia Bercow, Sophie Frem, and Lexie Streicher. Earning the plaudit for the first time were sophomores Olivia Ahart, Rebecca Donahue, Anna Kirn, and Delaney Snowden along with first years Anna Bradley, Allison Cubell, Zora Dallmann, Clare Fleming, Annika Kline, and Margaret Martin.
Two Division III academic awards remain to be announced — the NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction will be announced on March 23 and the NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Awards will be released on March 29.
