Ahart and Snowden Named to All-Centennial Conference Honors for Field Hockey

Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College field hockey team placed two members on the All-Centennial Conference teams, the conference office announced in a release on Tuesday afternoon. Co-captain senior Olivia Ahart repeated All-CC honors from a season ago, earning a slot on the first team, while fellow co-captain senior Delaney Snowden was named honorable mention for the first time in her career. Sophomore Rachel Marlin was additionally named the program's All-Sportsmanship team representative.

Ahart, a Moorestown, N.J. product, became the second player in as many years to earn a first-team nod for the Fords, as Ravenel Davis earned that honor a season ago en route to All-America designation. Ahart earned first-team honors after building off a standout 2021 season with another strong campaign that saw her help to anchor a young squad on both sides of the ball. Ahart finished with a pair of goals and a pair of assists, including a game-winning tally at home against Muhlenberg on October 12. She is the program's 16th first-team All-CC selection overall.

Snowden paced the Fords in goals (7) and points (17), tallying a pair of game-winners over the course of the 2022 season. Memorably, Snowden lifted her team to the CC tournament as she rocketed in the game-winner in the regular season finale against Swarthmore, sending the Fords to the overtime victory over the Garnet with the lone goal of the contest for either side. The Annapolis, Md. product appeared in 16 games, logging 15 starts.  A hot start helped to set the tone, with four goals in the first two contests as Haverford split with Alvernia and Eastern. In total, Snowden notched five games recording multiple points.

The Fords capped the 2022 season by making a second consecutive appearance in the Centennial Conference tournament, and the 10th overall postseason trip in the program's Centennial Conference era.
