Fords take down NJIT

NEWARK, N.J. - The Haverford College men's fencing team started off a busy weekend with an 18-9 win Saturday afternoon over the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) at the campus of the Highlanders.

Continuing a season-long trend, the epee squad dominated the competition tallying an 8-1 score to lead the Fords. The foilists were equal to the task as they showed great improvement and matched the epeeists' with an 8-1 effort of their own. Squad captain Linus Marco and freshman Josh Nadel each contributed wins for the sabrists.

Haverford completes its weekend of competition on Sunday at the University of Maryland for Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Fencing Association round-robin action.
