BALTIMORE - On Sunday, the Haverford men's fencing team completed their regular season with a MACFA round-robin held at Johns Hopkins. The Fords went 3-2 at the tournament, defeating Hunter, Yeshiva, and Army West Point, whilst technically losing to NJIT and Stevens Tech.

The Foil squad led the day with a 4-1 record, narrowly nipped by NJIT, 5-4, but bumping off Stevens by that same 5-4 scoreline. The foilists conducted utter routs against the other three schools, dropping nary a bout. As has been the case all year, the results for all four foilists were remarkably close; first-years Michael Pyo and Henry Fedonchik led all fencers on the day, both compiling 8-2 records. Squadmates Andrew Strayer and Jax Wittenberg each kicked in seven wins, to finish up a remarkable season that saw the young foil squad etch their name into the Haverford record books.

The rather inexperienced sabre squad showed marked improvement on the year, with junior Neville Linden pulling in seven wins, and Deep Patel snaking six; sophomores Kenneth Hsu and Jack Greff combined for seven more wins. The rather experienced epee squad saw more limited action as not all participating teams carried full epee squads- Ed Shin was the workhorse of the day, going 5-4; first-years Raphael Yamamoto and Jack Lesher got off the bench to combine for six crucial wins.

The Fords will next compete at the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Fencing Association Championships, held Sunday, March 5 at Drew University.
