HAVERFORD, Pa. - Last week, USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse announced their 2025 Division III Preseason All-America teams, with Haverford junior Reid Tietjen (Mountain Lakes, N.J. / Mountain Lakes) picking up honorable mention All-America honors from both organizations.
Tietjen adds the USA Lacrosse and Nike Lacrosse Preseason Men's DIII Media All-American honors (selected by Inside Lacrosse staffers) to a Second-team All-Centennial Conference nod a season ago, as well as a spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team in 2024.
Leading the Centennial Conference in offense during his sophomore campaign, Tietjen was the catalyst for a Haverford team that scored a program-record 209 goals in 2024. The Mountain Lakes, N.J. local not only led the Fords, but the whole Centennial Conference in goals with 52 and points with 76, sharing the conference's leading point total with McDaniel's Jason Fritz.
Tietjen produced seven games with at least four goals or more, including season-high six-goal games against Drew (March 17) and McDaniel (April 13).
Aside from finding the back of the net a whopping 3.25 times per game, the attacker also paced the Fords in assists, dishing out 24 helpers. The sophomore had six multi-assist games this season, which included a four-assist game against No. 17 Stevens on March 15.
On March 25, 2024, the Mountain Lakes high school product notched his first-career Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week award after scoring four goals and scooping up four ground balls in Haverford's thrilling double overtime victory over Franklin & Marshall, a team receiving votes in the USILA Poll at the time.
Haverford begins the 2025 regular season with a trip to Rochester, N.Y. to take on 14th-ranked St. John Fisher on Saturday, February 15. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
