PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors Association (Philly-SIDA) has released the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area men's soccer team with Haverford College's Brian Pepe-Mooney earning inclusion on the 14-player squad.
The academic all-area teams are voted on by the sports information offices of the 28 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. To be considered, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and carry at least a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average.
Pepe-Mooney closed out his career on the soccer pitch for the Fords this fall having played in 50 games over his four-year stint at Haverford.
Along with Philly-SIDA honors, Pepe-Mooney -- a three-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll member -- has also been named to the Honorable Mention National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas College Men's Scholar All-East Region team for the second consecutive year.
Temple University's J.T. Noone was voted the academic all-area men's soccer Performer of the Year.
