Red Devils blank men’s soccer, 3-0

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Saturday's men's soccer contest between Haverford College and Dickinson College was a physical game with 24 fouls and one yellow card called in addition to a number tackles that thwarted scoring attempts. In the end Dickinson scored once in first half and added two more in the second for a 3-0 Centennial Conference victory.

Haverford (7-4-2, 3-2-1 CC) took eight shots in the game, but just one found its way on goal. The Red Devils fared much better with four shots on goal and three finding pay dirt.

Dickinson's (9-3-2, 3-2-1 CC) first goal came in the 29th minute. Nicolas Tierno dribbled down the right sideline, made his way into the box and beat Fords' keeper Jamey Applegate.

In the 67th minute the Red Devils added another tally as Derek Kachadurian collected a loose ball in the box and booted it home. Sung Woo Kim tacked on a goal in the 88th minute.

Applegate made just one save in the game while Dickinson keeper Cody Hickok made one as well.

Prior to the start of the match, Applegate, Dominique Debucquoy-Dodley, Fernando Gracia and Max Stossel were honored as part of the team's Senior Day festivities.

Haverford will be off until next Saturday when it travels to No. 19/17 Muhlenberg College for a 3 p.m. start.
