LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior goalkeeper Jamey Applegate of the Haverford College men's soccer team was named the Centennial Conference's Defensive Player of the Week by the league office Monday afternoon.

Applegate registered eight saves in 110 minutes of double-overtime action Saturday afternoon in the Fords' 0-0 tie with 10th-ranked Johns Hopkins University.

In his past four games between the pipes for Haverford, 3-0-1 during that stretch, Applegate has accumulated 15 saves while surrendering just one goal.

The scoreless outing against Hopkins was Applegate's second shutout of the season and sixth of his career.
