Second half goal sinks men’s soccer in 1-0 loss to Eastern

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – Josh Martin scored the game's lone goal at the 64-minute mark to give host Eastern University a 1-0 win over Haverford College men's soccer in a non-conference match Wednesday afternoon.

Martin's goal, which was assisted on by Mitch Osterhouse, came on a shot that was deflected in the upper right corner of the net.

Haverford (3-3) keeper Andriy Mshanetskyy made four saves. The Fords took four shots; however, none were in the direction of Eastern's Jon Crowder. The Eagles had 12 shots.

Haverford returns to Centennial Conference play with a home contest against Franklin & Marshall College. Kickoff at Walton Field is slated from 1 p.m.
