NSCAA Poll

HAVERFORD, Pa. – With the addition of the Centennial Conference Championship to its resume during this past weekend, the Haverford College men's soccer team jumped up to No. 7 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America Poll. The poll is the final ranking during the regular season.

Haverford won its conference championship with a 4-1 victory against Johns Hopkins in the semifinal and a thrilling 1-0 win on Will Corkery's direct kick with 19.1 seconds to play against Dickinson on Sunday. The championship was the Fords' second title in the past four seasons.

With a 16-3 overall record and unblemished mark in Centennial Conference, the Fords have garnered a No. 1 seed for the upcoming NCAA Tournament. That top seed earns the team a first round bye and guarantees them a spot in the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the third time in program history. The Fords have qualified for the NCAA Tournament a total of five times in program history counting this season.

The Fords will have a chance to host an NCAA Regional for the first time in program history this weekend and advance further than any team before them with a victory Sunday. Sunday's game will see Haverford battle the winner of Washington & Lee and Methodist at 1 p.m. on Walton Field. Those two teams will meet Thursday at 2 p.m.
