D3Soccer.com Poll

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's soccer team checked in at No. 25 in the latest D3Soccer.com Poll. The Fords (6-2-2) received 92 voting points in the week 5 poll.

Despite playing to a scoreless draw at Muhlenberg last Wednesday and suffering a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Gettysburg, the Fords kept their nationally-ranked streak alive. The Fords have now been ranked in the D3Soccer.com Poll for 18 straight releases dating back to the 2015 season. Although Haverford fell out of the United Soccer Coaches national poll, it marks just the second time in the last 20 releases Haverford has not been represented in the top 25.

Looking to put last week behind them, the Fords will have two more matches during the first week of October. On Wednesday, Haverford travels to Rutgers-Camden where it will look to avenge a 1-0 defeat a year ago. That match will get started at 7 p.m. in New Jersey. Haverford had won two straight matches in that series history before last year's result. The Fords are 4-1 all-time when these teams met at Camden.

Centennial Conference play resumes this Saturday when McDaniel comes to campus for a 2 p.m. start on Walton Field. The Fords have won each of the last two meetings against the Green Terror, including a 1-0 victory with a goal from Michael Carr on the road last season. Haverford is 3-0 during the last three home games in that series by a combined 7-2 score.
