HAVERFORD, Pa. – Nick Jannelli has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after scoring a pair of goals in the Haverford College men's soccer victory over Swarthmore on Saturday. Jannelli was also named the winner of the conference's weekly honor on September 25 this fall. This honor marks the third of his career as he also garnered that same recognition once during his Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year campaign.

Striking early in Haverford's lone match this past week, the sophomore scored just 5:10 into regulation time during the rivalry matchup. He added his second goal of the contest during the second half with his fourth successful penalty kick goal in as many attempts this season. His two goals came on his only two shots of the afternoon.

Jannelli currently has a team-leading 13 goals and four assists for a total of 30 points through the completion of the regulation season. His goal total ranks third among his Centennial Conference peers, while his seven goals in Centennial Conference matches are the second best mark. He is ranked second in the conference in both total points and points in conference contests (17). Six of Jannelli's goals have been game-winning efforts, another mark that is second in the conference. Just one game-winner shy of break the school record of seven set by Sam Yarosh '16 and Will Corkery '17 during the 2015 season, Jannelli's goals have been the game-winning tally in three of Haverford's Centennial Conference victories.

His latest goals over the weekend helped the Fords clinch the No. 4 seed in the Centennial Conference Tournament where the Fords have earned the right to host the Centennial Conference first round matchup. That contest against Dickinson will be played Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. on Walton Field. In that contest, Haverford will be looking to avenge a 3-2 overtime defeat against the Red Devils just two weekends ago.
