United Soccer Coaches Association Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's and women's soccer programs have been honored as 2019 United Soccer Coaches Association Team Academic Award winners. A total of 345 men's college programs and 644 women's college programs were honored with this distinction.

The award recognizes teams that maintain grade point averages of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The United Soccer Coaches Association Team Academic Award honors teams based on their performances from the previous academic year, in this case the 2018-19 school year.

Haverford is one of 255 schools that had both its men's and women's team honored with this award. Both the men's and women's team have earned this honor in each of the past 14 seasons. Over the past 23 years of this award, women's soccer has won this award 22 times, while the men have been honored 21 times.

Throughout the Centennial Conference, Dickinson, Swarthmore, and Washington College were the only other institutions to have both their men's and women's programs recognized with this academic team honor.
