Dylan Ioffreda is back on the blog here. Mr. Carol did a great job yesterday and is a tough act to follow.
Despite the team being out late celebrating our first international victory, we were up and at it at 8 am for another delicious breakfast in the hotel.
Following breakfast, we were off to the beach. We were granted the difficult task of conquering the Mediterranean Sea via paddle board. We split up into two groups. While one group was out paddle boarding, the other enjoyed the beach. Some were successful standing up on the paddle board while others settled with simply sunbathing on their boards. After both groups went paddle boarding, we devoured our lunch at a nearby joint.
We then went back to the hotel where many of us recovered from our time at the beach. After our "siesta", we went out for dinner which consisted of salad, salmon, and mashed potatoes.
With the night still young, many of us went out to a pub to watch the Liverpool vs Crystal Palace game. It was a good game that ended in a draw. Then we went back to the hotel and were in for the night. And just like that, Day 5 was in the books.
