HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford softball senior Abby Marquis has earned a second Centennial Conference Softball Player of the Week award, the Centennial Conference office announced in a release on Tuesday morning.

Marquis, an Albuquerque, N.M. product, earned Player of the Week for the second time this spring after slashing .583/.667/1.250 in another stellar week for the Fords. The Division III National Player of the Year Watchlist member also extended her CC leads in RBIs (42) and home runs (9). Nationally, Marquis currently ranks 10th in the nation in RBI and 18th in homers. She is also 15th in the nation for total bases.

The chemistry major hit another pair of round-trippers on Saturday against F&M as part of a five-hit day that also included a pair of doubles and six total RBI. She has also tied the Haverford program record for homers in a single season. Marquis currently sits at 99 career hits and will look to become the program's single-season home run record holder while reaching the 100 hit plateau on Tuesday as Haverford hosts the regular season finale.

Haverford will play a doubleheader against Ursinus on Class of '95 Field with contests at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. - The Fords currently hold the fifth and final spot in the Centennial Conference playoff picture.
