HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's lacrosse team delivered a convincing win against Eastern University on Thursday at Swan Field. At times, Haverford made it look easy and finished with an 18-6 advantage.

Scoring was mostly spread out as six different Haverford players netted multiple goals in the contest. Sophomore Molly Lausten and freshman Sarah Svetec led the way with three goals apiece. Lausten now has a team-high 16 goals and has scored at least once in every game this season. For Svetec, her goals marked the first three of her career.

As has been the trend this season, Lausten didn't waste time getting onto the score sheet. Her first goal was just over a minute into regulation. She finished with five shots on the day plus a ground ball and a draw control.

Junior Sarina Manetta scored the Fords' next two goals, making the lead 3-1. The Haverford midfielder also finished tied for the team high in ground balls (3) and draw controls (2).

Junior midfielder Maura Grant played an impressive game as she found the back of the net and also assisted on two more goals in the first half. Grant also finished the contest with three ground balls and two draw controls.

Courtney Carter, Rina Rosnow, Stephanie Kisciras, and Annie Kelly also scored goals in the first half, allowing the Fords to take a 10-2 lead into the break.

Lausten scored her third goal of the game just 20 seconds into the second half. Elyse Adler scored just ten seconds later, activating a running clock marked by a 10 goal margin. Christina Gould assisted on Adler's goal and also the next two—Shannon Rafsol and then Adler again—giving her three assists on the day. Gould leads the team in assists with eight.

Later in the half, Svetec scored her second and third goals. Averi Gaines picked up two assists late in the game, including one on Rosnow's goal that gave Haverford its biggest lead of the game at 18-5.

In net, Megan Chenworth made two saves before Rachel Romens came in to spell her and made two saves of her own.

The Fords will have six days to reflect on their win as they do not see action again until they travel to play Rowan on Wednesday, March 23 at 4 p.m.
