HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's lacrosse team is receiving votes in the 2024 ILWomen/IWLCA Division III Preseason Poll, as announced in a release on Monday morning.

The preseason poll marks the third consecutive season that the IWLCA and Inside Lacrosse have jointly presented the poll. The ILWomen/IWLCA Poll will be unveiled Mondays throughout the season beginning on Monday, February 26. It is voted on jointly by coaches throughout the country and members of the media.

Haverford is aiming to return to the NCAA tournament after making an appearance in 2022, the program's first since 1991. The Fords have made seven trips to the Centennial Conference tournament since 2014.

In the 2023 campaign, the Fords went 12-6, including a 7-2 mark in Centennial play. All-American Tiffany Mikulis leads the returners. The Centennial Conference Midfielder of the Year finished second in the conference in goals scored (63) and fifth in points (74) and draw controls (91). Eva Baumann also had a breakout campaign in 2023, earning a first-team All-Conference nod with 23 caused turnovers and a pair of draw controls. She also added an assist at Dickinson on March 25. She ranked in the top 10 in the conference for caused turnovers.

Two Centennial Conference foes are ranked to begin the 2024 season, with No. 2 Gettysburg and No. 4 Franklin & Marshall, the reigning CC Champions and the team Haverford faced in last season's conference semifinals, earning a national ranking. Middlebury returns in 2024 as No. 1 in the ILWomen/IWLCA Division III Preseason Poll, receiving 23 first-place votes after its undefeated championship season in 2023.

To kick off the 2024 season, Haverford will play on the road against non-conference foe Cabrini for the final time on February 21. Following the clash with the Cavaliers, the Fords will return home to Swan Field for the home opener against Widener on February 28.
