HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's lacrosse team has released its 17-game schedule for the 2025 season. The Fords look to build upon an impressive 2024 campaign that saw the Scarlet and Black make the Centennial Conference tournament for the fifth straight season and the NCAA tournament for the second time in the past three years. Guiding the Fords on the sidelines will be Katie Wertman, who enters her eighth season as head coach.
After a pair of scrimmages against Lebanon Valley (Feb. 8) and at Rowan (Feb. 15), the Fords welcome the Bobcats of Bates College to Haverford on February 19, to open the regular season before hitting the road for a two-game trip against Stockton (February 22) and Widener (February 28).
The month of March begins with a highly anticipated home game against the Scranton Royals on March 1, before the Scarlet and Black battle the Ducks of Stevens in Hoboken, N.J., on March 5.
Following two early March contests in the northeast, warm weather and sunny skies await the Haverford women's lacrosse team, as the Fords take on Shenandoah (March 10) and Messiah (March 12) over spring break in neutral-site showdowns in Clearwater, Florida. After returning to Philadelphia, Haverford will host the Captains of Christopher Newport on March 15 and the Amherst Mammoths on March 19 in two crucial non-conference matchups.
After navigating a challenging non-conference slate, Haverford will shift to Centennial Conference play, squaring off with the Ursinus Bears in Collegeville, Pa., on March 22, before closing out a busy month of March with a home game against McDaniel on March 29.
A rematch of the 2024 Centennial Conference Semifinals will take place on April 5 in Lancaster, Pa., as the Fords face the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats. They then return home to Swan Field to challenge Gettysburg (April 12) and Muhlenberg (April 16). Following a pair of road games at Dickinson (April 19) and Washington College (April 23), Haverford will wrap up the regular season on Swan Field against Swarthmore (April 26), where both teams will compete for a vital Hood Trophy point.
After completing the rigorous 17-game 2025 schedule, the Fords will aim to qualify for the Centennial Conference Championship Tournament for the eighth time since 2014. The Centennial Conference First Round matchups will commence on April 30, with the semifinals and finals slated for May 2 and May 4.
