Squash teams fall to Lions

NEW YORK – The Haverford College men's and women's squash teams both fell to Columbia University by 9-0 counts Sunday afternoon.

Despite No. 20 Columbia applying pressure, the men's team forced a number of long rallies where they were in control of the ball, making Columbia work hard to win each of its points.

The women's team went up against an experienced Lions squad, but kept up with the fast-pace of the opponent. No. 14 Columbia took all nine points in straight sets.

The men now sit at 7-5 on the season while the women are 1-8.

Both teams return home Saturday to host Georgetown University at noon.
