Squash travels north in dual contests in Cambridge, Mass.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-The Haverford women's squash team hit the road for two games on Saturday, Nov.12, facing Wellesley College in an 8-1 loss and then taking on Smith College. 

In the game against Wellesley, the Fords picked up their lone point from at No.7 from Roxanne Jaffe, who won in four games. Other closely contested matches were Zoe Becker at No. 9 and Samara Flug at No. 8 (each lost in four games) who both put up solid battles.

"Based on the tie breaks and close matches, these contests were not one-sided," said head coach Niki Clement. 

Pitted against Smith, Haverford lost 7-2.  Wins came from Becker at No.9 (11-2,11-2, 11-2) and Flug at No.8.  Caroline Nightingale, at No.1, lost a closely contested game five.  Alisa Strayer at No.5, lost in four games while Jaffe lost in four as well.

The Fords continue the 2011 season at Johns Hopkins on Nov.20 at 10 a.m. in their next contest.
