Why did you choose Haverford?
My cousin Maryanna Solecki '19 (former women's soccer player) had such an amazing experience as a student-athlete at Haverford and once I visited the campus it made so much sense why she felt that way. During the visit, everyone I spoke to on campus was so incredibly kind and considerate. Also, with Haverford being a small school, I was hoping that would result in having a very close community and my experience has been exactly that and more. The beautiful environment created at Haverford is truly one of a kind.

Why did you choose to play a sport in college?
I chose to play a sport in college because playing squash has been such an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have always loved playing squash competitively, but with squash being an individual sport I had never experienced a true team dynamic. Since being a part of the Haverford squash team, my love for competing has grown immensely. Whether it's traveling with the team for matches or just being able to practice with the team, my experience as a squash player has been so much better while having that support system. Also, being able to be welcomed into college with a group of people who share a passion for the same sport as you is such a fun experience and I could not imagine not being on the team!

What is your favorite team experience?
My favorite team experience was probably our first away match of the season during my freshman year. It was such a bonding and beautiful experience to travel to a different campus with friends and compete against teams together. The bus ride to and from this away match was also so memorable and fun!

What advice would you give a high school student considering Haverford?
Come visit! Spend time on campus and talk to students and faculty. Everyone is so happy and excited to answer any questions you may have!
