Virtual Senior Days: Haverford College Women's Indoor Track & Field Class of 2021

With the winter sports unable to hold traditional Senior Days on campus, the Haverford College Athletic Department is recognizing these seniors in a virtual ceremony, with some special help from their teammates. Today, we celebrate the 2021 Haverford College women's indoor track & field seniors.

Marly Banatte Psychology major; Chemistry and Neuroscience minors • Brooklyn, New York

  • Team captain
  • Member of track & field team for four years, competed in cross country for final three seasons
  • Mid-distance performer
  • Indoor Personal Bests
    • 400m: 1:06.25 (2017 Haverford Holiday Invitational)
    • 800m: 2:45.23 (2018 Haverford Holiday Invitational)
  • 5 career individual top-10 finishes, including a third-place finish in 800 meters at Haverford Mid-Week Invitational

Mari Horton Psychology major; Neuroscience minor • West Chester, Pa.

  • Team captain
  • Member of throwing squad for all four years
  • Three-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll winner during indoor season
  • Indoor Personal Bests
    • Shot put: 11.01m (2019 Keogh Invitational) – ranked eighth in school history
  • Won four individual meet titles during the outdoor season and was a scoring thrower in the shot put during the 2019 Centennial Conference Indoor Championships

Jessica Lopez Anthropology major; Economics and Health Studies minor • South Pasadena, Calif.

  • Competed on the sprinting and jumping squads for all four years
  • Indoor Honors: USTFCCCA All-Mideast Region (2019 - 200m), Five-time second-team All-Centennial Conference (2019 - 60m; 2019 - 200m; 2019 - 4x200 relay; 2019 - triple jump; 2020 - 200m), honorable mention All-Centennial Conference (2020 - triple jump), Centennial

  • Won six indoor individual titles across three different events, including winning 60 meter dash four times

Kat Turner Psychology and Spanish double major; Neuroscience minor • Woburn, Mass.

    • 60m hurdles: 9.72 (2018 Centennial Conference Championship) – 8th in school history
