Angie Petrichenko Earns CC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford senior Angie Petrichenko has been named the Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors, the conference office announced in a release on Tuesday morning. Petrichenko, a product of Bellingham, Wash. earned the honor for the first time in her track & field career. She was previously named an All-American for the cross country season in the fall of 2021.

Petrichenko ran a 10:22.03 in the 3,000 meters at the TCNJ Invitational, crossing fourth as the top Division III finisher in the event. The time was also the sixth-fastest in Haverford's indoor program history and currently ranks as the 13th best mark in Division III as early season marks continue to roll in. The mark also bettered her previous best by an outstanding 53 seconds. Her previous personal best was 11:09.98, set on the very same track in 2020 at the NYC Gotham Cup.

The Fords will now look to continue the strong run of success from the indoor campaign thus far as the squad heads to Ursinus on Saturday for the Collegeville Classic.
