Petrichenko and Thornberry Named All-CC For Indoor Track & Field

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford senior Angie Petrichenko and sophomore Isabel Thornberry have been named to All-Centennial Conference accolades, the conference office announced in its postseason awards release on Wednesday morning. 

Petrichenko, an NCAA qualifier in the 5,000 meters, earned the award for her bronze medal finish at the Centennial Conference Championships. Petrichenko nabbed that bronze medal finish with a time of 17:25.40. The time is second on Haverford's all-time indoor list for the 5,000-meter distance, leaping over Nicole Giannetti's time of 17:25.94 set in 2018.

Isabel Thornberry was the third place finisher in the 400 meter dash. The quarter-miler finished on the podium, grabbing third place with a personal best of 1:00.39. Her time was 0.01 better than her previous best, ending the indoor season on a high note.

Senior Lauren Tanel was additionally named to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship team. 

Petrichenko has been selected to represent Haverford College in the 2022 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in Winston Salem, N.C. on Friday, March 11. Petrichenko will contest the 5,000 meters on Friday afternoon at 4:35 p.m. Guilford College and Visit Winston-Salem will serve as the host institution for the championships this season.
