HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's outdoor track & field team has been picked sixth in the CC Preseason Poll, the Centennial Conference announced in a release on Wednesday morning.  Eleven-time defending champion Johns Hopkins has been tabbed as the favorite to repeat in the 2022 Centennial Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Preseason Poll. The Blue Jays received all nine possible first-place votes for a total of 81 points to earn the top spot in the voting among CC head coaches.

Swarthmore was tabbed to finish second with 69 points and the other first-place vote. Dickinson finished close behind in third place with 66 points, followed by Ursinus (57), Franklin & Marshall (44) and Haverford (42) in the top six. McDaniel was projected to finish seventh with 32 points, while Muhlenberg (24), Gettysburg (21), and Bryn Mawr (14) rounded out the poll in eighth through 10th, respectively.

The Fords will look to make a splash after finishing 6th at the indoor championships. Haverford earned eight USTFCCCA All-Region certificates as Angie Petrichenko and Isabel Thornberry garnered inclusion on the All-Centennial Conference squads. Petrichenko made an appearance at the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships, finishing 13th in the 5,000 meters.

Ursinus will be hosting the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Patterson Field from May 6th to May 8th, 2022.

Haverford opens the outdoor season in earnest on April 1 with the Danny Curran Invitational on the campus of Widener University.
