CHESTER, Pa. – The Haverford College women's outdoor track & field team wrapped up day two at the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener on Saturday. Haverford's day was highlighted by numerous personal bests across the board while Unique Tuberville took over the school record for the hammer throw.

Tuberville highlighted Haverford's day in the field events as her best hammer throw was marked at 37.06 meters (121'-7"). That mark is nearly four foot clear of the previous school record and over four feet clear of her previous best in that event. Tuberville's school record placed her 13th overall in the field. Haverford also had entrants in both the javelin and long jump events, but those results were not available as of press time.

On the track, Jessica Lopez led Haverford in the 200 meter and 400 meter dashes. With very big fields across all the events, Lopez was 16th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.59 seconds as she just missed a top 10 time in school history. Lopez was also 14th in the 400 meter dash as she finished in 1:01.60. Ruanna Small also competed in both of those events as she finished with times of 28.40 seconds and 1:03.43, respectively. Fukuda (28.37 seconds) and Marisa Antinori (29.12 seconds) competed solely in the 200 meter dash during individual events.

During the sprinting events, Taryn Barrett made her college debut with a time of 14.37 seconds in the 100 meter dash, while Louise Bednarik placed 34th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 19.83 seconds. Haverford also entered a 4x100 relay team which finished in a time of 52.96 seconds.

Haverford's largest contingent on Saturday was in the 800 meters. Molly Hawkins finished that event in 18th place with a time of 2:26.52, while also leading the Fords to the finish in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:56.32. Amalia Axinn (2:31.09 & 5:05.29) and Mariana Ramirez (2:34.41 & 5:14.49) also did the mid-distance double alongside Hawkins. Lauren Tanel (2:30.46), Marly Banatte (2:40.77), Grace Pindzola (2:41.53), and Louise Bednarik (2:48.55) only contested the 800 meter race between those two events.

Women's outdoor track & field will return to action next Saturday, April 6 as it competes in West Chester's Bill Butler Invitational. That meet is scheduled for an 11 a.m. start.
