LANCASTER, Pa. – The Haverford College volleyball team won its fourth match in a row with a three-set sweep (25-8, 25-20, 25-18) of the Lancaster Bible Chargers at Horst Athletic Center on Wednesday evening.

Haverford started the match in impressive fashion. After the Chargers took a brief 3-2 lead to open the contest, the Fords went on a 14-0 run and never looked back in winning, 25-8. The Fords had a sparkling .579 attack percentage with 12 kills and one error in 19 attempts.

The second set saw the road team score 13 of the first 16 points. The Chargers fought back, getting within five at 14-9 after a service ace by Jenny Lenko. Haverford kept Lancaster Bible at bay until the home team scored three straight points to cut its deficit to four (24-20). However, a service error would hand the Fords a 2-0 set lead.

For the third straight set, head coach Michele Benoit's team took an early lead, jumping ahead 10-4. The Chargers crept back within two at 13-11, but couldn't get any closer. The non-conference foe scored three straight points to set the score at 21-18, but Haverford went on a four-point spurt to win the set and the match.
