The Haverford College volleyball team defeated rival Swarthmore to close a 22-win regular season in 2019. Hosting the Garnet on Senior Day, Haverford assured itself a home match in its first playoff appearance since the 2016 season. The winning set went to extra points before the Fords emerged a 27-25 winner. Haverford got the early 2-1 lead by allowing just 15 and 13 points, respectively, during its first and third set victories. Dina Kosyagin '22 tallied a match-high 20 kills while Madison Adore '21 and Kendall Otridge '23 both reached double figures in that category. Sydney Miller '21 dished out 46 assists in the victory. Haverford's defense held the Garnet to just a .127 hitting percentage during the match, including a .105 mark during the clinching fourth set.
