HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford Volleyball senior outside hitter Dina Kosyagin has been named the Centennial Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, the conference office announced in a release on Tuesday. The award is the first weekly honor for Kosyagin, who was named an Honorable Mention All-Centennial Conference pick following the 2019 campaign.

Kosyagin helped Haverford clinch the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Centennial Conference postseason with 3-0 wins over Ursinus and Swarthmore last week. The senior outside hitter averaged 4.83 kills per set at .288% clip, contributing 5.3 points per set for the Fords. She opened the week with eight kills in a sweep of Ursinus, and followed that up by tying the Haverford program record for kills in a three-set match with 21 over rival Swarthmore. She committed just three errors in that match, tallying four kills in the do-or-die extra points of the third set and securing that marathon third set, which ended 32-30, with a service ace.

The senior Biology major is seventh in Haverford program history in career kills per set (3.10) and 15th in total kills (893). She has registered the ninth-best kills per set mark in the program's single-season history this year.  Kosyagin currently leads the Centennial Conference in total kills (371) and is second in kills per set (3.91).

Kosyagin and the Fords will next head to the Centennial Conference semifinals on Saturday, facing off with third-seeded Swarthmore at 3:30 p.m. on the campus of top-seeded Johns Hopkins.
