HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford junior attacker Emma Iacobucci has been named a PhilaFH Offensive Player of the Week, the organization announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Haverford had a 2-0 week, boosting its season record to a perfect 4-0. The team picked up a convincing win on Wednesday afternoon, taking a 4-0 decision over visiting Cabrini at Swan Field. After a first quarter in which the Fords held a dominating 12-1 shot advantage but were unable to find a goal, fortunes began to change for the hosts in the second, as Iacobucci scored twice on Haverford penalty corners.

On Saturday, Haverford found themselves down 1-0 to Eastern at the half. Again, Iacobucci kick-started the scoring for the Fords and provided the equalizer they sought early in the third quarter when she took a pass and was able to volley in a shot from close range, posting her fourth goal of the season just over three minutes into the half.

Haverford never looked back en route to a 3-2 victory. In total, the junior from Malvern, Pa. posted seven shots and three goals and was instrumental in the pair of victories, the second of which marked the 100th in the career of Head Coach Jackie Cox.

The Fords, receiving votes in the latest NFHCA poll, now face a tough test against a local foe in No. 2 Rowan, heading to the defending national semifinalists on Saturday night for a 7 p.m. first pass.
