The Haverford College field hockey team went on a quite an October run during the 2017 season as it won the final four Centennial Conference games of the regular season before toppling Washington College in the first round of the Centennial Conference Tournament by a 2-1 score. Stephanie Terrell '18 tallied the game winner for the Fords. That contest was the second OT clash between the Shorewomen and Fords as a 3-2 WAC victory preceded the Fords' strong close the regular season. Haverford continued on to the Centennial Conference semifinals where only a 2-1 overtime defeat at top-seeded Johns Hopkins snapped Haverford's second five-game winning streak from that season.
