Field Hockey Adds Kelsey LeBlanc to Coaching Staff

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College field hockey program has added Kelsey LeBlanc as an assistant coach ahead of the 2022 campaign, head coach Jackie Cox announced last week.

LeBlanc, a former four-year standout at the University of Virginia, joins the Fords after a stint as an assistant at Cabrini, where she completed a Masters of Education and PK-4 Teaching Certificate. The Haverford native returns to her hometown to assist a Haverford squad that made a splash last season with a stint in the national rankings and a Centennial Conference tournament berth.

LeBlanc has served as the Director of Curriculum and Head Coach at Horizon Field Hockey Club, a stint that began in 2018, and also as a coordinator and coach for Chatham Park Field Hockey, teaching fundamental skills and game concepts to fourth and fifth grade students.

At Virginia, LeBlanc had an illustrious career as a team captain and three-year starter, earning All-ACC honors during her senior season while being selected to the Longstreth/NFHCA Senior All-Star Game. A two-time selection to the All-ACC Academic Team, she was a four-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

LeBlanc will toe the sideline for the season opener with Alvernia on Thursday, September 1. The contest is slated to begin at 5 p.m. on Swan Field.
