HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College field hockey senior co-captain Olivia Ahart has been named an NFHCA All-Region V selection, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced in a release on Tuesday afternoon, picking up a spot on the second team.

Division III teams are separated into six regions: Region I, Region II, Region III, Region IV, Region V, and Region VI — each region honors up to 16 student-athletes on a first team and up to 16 student-athletes on a second team.

Ahart, a Moorestown, N.J. product, became the second player in as many years to earn a second-team nod for the Fords, as Hannah Roth earned that honor a season ago. Ravenel Davis was also an All-Region first-teamer in 2021, en route to All-America designation.

Ahart is the 17th All-Region pick in the history of the program and third in the last two seasons. The psychology major earned first-team All-Centennial Conference honors earlier this month after building off a standout 2021 season with another strong campaign that saw her help to anchor a young squad on both sides of the ball. Ahart finished with a pair of goals and a pair of assists, including a game-winning tally at home against Muhlenberg on October 12.

The Fords capped the 2022 season by making a second consecutive appearance in the Centennial Conference tournament, and the 10th overall postseason trip in the program's Centennial Conference era.

The NFHCA Division III All-Region team announcement is the first in a list of postseason awards to come from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) over the next several weeks. Next to be announced are the NFHCA Regional Players of the Year on November 30, and those honors will be followed by the NFHCA All-American teams on December 13 and the NFHCA National Player of the Year on December 15.
