Field Hockey Reels In 17th Consecutive NFHCA Academic Team Award

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced the 2022 NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award sponsored by TopSticks, on Tuesday morning. For the 17th consecutive season, Haverford earned the award, a streak dating back to the 2006 campaign. In total, 59 Division III programs earned the 2022 edition of the award.  This season, the National Academic Team Award recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.

Earlier this month, Haverford's Anna Bradley was honored as a Scholar of Distinction by the NFHCA, one of 470 student-athletes across Division III to earn the award, which is given to student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.90 through the first semester of the 2022-23 academic year.

On February 9, the NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams for the 2022-23 academic cycle, honored undergraduate collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.

Earning the award for the Fords in 2022 were: Olivia Ahart, Dalia Bercow, Anna Bradley, Amelia Bredbenner, Allison Cubell, Zora Dallmann, Zoey Despines, Rebecca Donahue, Clare Fleming, Sophie Frem, Caroline Frost, Anna Keneally, Amy Kim, Anna Kirn, Vy Le, Rachel Marlin, Margaret Martin, Ileana Rodriguez, Delaney Snowden, Lexie Streicher, Abigail Trapp, Holly Vincent, and Naomi York.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
