Friddell posts season-high against #9 F&M

LANCASTER, Pa. – Senior Bo Friddell registered a season-high 18 points during Haverford College's 77-57 loss to ninth-ranked Franklin & Marshall College in Centennial Conference men's basketball action at the Mayser Center on Saturday afternoon.

Friddell added four assists and four steals for Haverford (6-13, 4-8 CC) while Georgio Milligan led F&M (18-1, 11-1) with a game-high 23 points.

Early action Saturday was tight as the Fords hung tough against the highly-ranked Diiplomats. Gibby Graves' layup at the 11:46 mark pulled Haverford into a 15-15 tie but the hosts reeled off a 14-0 run to take command, eventually heading into the locker room at the intermission with a 37-26 advantage.

The Dips continued to stretch out their edge during the second half to salt the game away.

Graves, a freshman, finished with a career-best 10 points for the Fords. He also pulled down five rebounds and came away with four steals. Cam Baker reached the double-digit mark in scoring for Haverford with 10 points. Brett Cohen led the team on the glass with seven rebounds and added seven points.

Hayk Gyokchyan led all rebounders with 12 and completed the double-double adding 15 points for the Diplomats.

Next up for the Fords is the last game of a three game road swing. Haverford travels to Chestertown, Md., for a Wednesday night conference match-up against host Washington College then returns home for a Saturday, Feb. 4 league contest against McDaniel College.
