Centennial honors Goldberg with weekly men's basketball award

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Centennial Conference released its weekly men's basketball award selection and Haverford College guard Ian Goldberg, following a week which included career-highs in a win at Ursinus College, has been selected as the league's co-player of the week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

Goldberg posted a career-best 32 points in the Fords' 41-point victory at Ursinus Wednesday, Feb. 4. He also came away with a career-high six steals in the road win. The senior co-captain added 14 points in Saturday's outing against visiting Dickinson College.

During the 1-1 week for Haverford, Goldberg averaged 23.0 points shooting 69 percent (18-of-26) from the floor, including 7-for-11 (64 percent) from beyond the three-point line, and accumulated nine steals, seven assists and six rebounds.

Gerry Wixted from Dickinson shared the weekly award with Goldberg.
