HAVERFORD, Pa. – Cam Baker and Brett Cohen each scored 24 points Monday night against visiting Moravian College, but the duo's efforts weren't enough as Haverford College's men's basketball team fell, 76-67, to the Greyhounds in a non-conference match-up on the Gooding Arena court.

Haverford (6-12) owned a 10-point advantage nearing the midway point of the opening half but had to settle for a three-point edge as the teams entered the locker rooms at the intermission.

A 9-0 run by the Greyhounds (11-8) to start the second half reversed the advantage as the Fords had cooled off after shooting 65 percent from the floor over the opening 20 minutes.

Haverford narrowed the lead to three on Brett Cohen's jumper from the right corner with 10 minutes to play but that would be as close as the Fords would come. Moravian answered Cohen's deuce by scoring the next seven points and eventually stretched the margin to double-digits at the 4:08 mark.

Cohen and Baker accounted for the bulk of Haverford's offense on the night, netting 72 percent of its final total. Cohen pulled down a team-high eight rebounds with Baker adding five and Lucas Colombo coming away with six more boards but Moravian ended up with a 40-27 advantage off the glass.

Cohen joined an elite club with his second rebound of the night, becoming just the 14th player in program history to collect 500 rebounds.

The Fords did force 17 turnovers on the night and scored 24 points off of those miscues, but the rebounding discrepancy proved an Achilles heel as Moravian notched 25 points off of second-chance opportunities.

Jarrod Dilts, with 20 points, led a quartet of Greyhounds scoring in double digits while Cameron Cullen added a game-high 14 rebounds to his 13 points for the visitors.

Haverford has to regroup quickly as it leaps back into Centennial Conference action Thursday night against visiting Washington College. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. following the women's game between the Fords and Shorewomen that starts at 6 p.m.
