Centennial Conference Poll

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Centennial Conference has released its annual men's basketball preseason poll. The Fords were picked ninth in the poll with 31 voting points. The regular season for the Haverford College men's basketball team gets underway next Tuesday, November 15 at Penn State-Harrisburg.

The Fords are looking to grow from valuable experience gained a year ago as seven then-freshmen made their collegiate debuts. Out of that class came the program's first Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year in Joe Scibelli. His classmate, Kahlil Garnes, led the team with 12.2 points per game a season ago.

Also returning to the lineup will be senior captain Matt Sherman. Sherman was an honorable mention All-Centennial Conference pick during his sophomore season in 2014-15 when he averaged 15.5 points per game. Entering his final season, Sherman needs 296 points to become the 16th player in program history to reach the 1,000 point plateau.

After opening up the regular season next week with three games, the Fords begin Centennial Conference action in their home opener against Ursinus on Tuesday, November 22.
