Stephen Flanders Named to CC All-Sportsmanship Team

Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College senior Stephen Flanders has been named to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team, the conference office announced in a postseason release on Tuesday afternoon.

Sportsmanship is one of the pillars of NCAA Division III and the Centennial Conference. The Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Teams recognize student-athletes who exemplify the fundamental values of respect, fairness, civility, honesty, and responsibility both on and off the field or playing surface.

On Alumni Day at Haverford in late February, Flanders was also announced as the newest recipient of the Mike Mucci Award. This award is given to an upperclass member of the team who consistently displays high character, sportsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to the values of the program, athletic department, and broader Haverford community.

During Flanders' four years on campus, Haverford has collected 39 wins in just three competitive seasons, helping to usher in a new era with a berth in the Centennial Conference semifinals during the 2019-20 season, returning to the postseason for the first time in nine years. Flanders also earned Centennial Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll honors in each season of eligbility.
