Ken Doyle joined the Haverford College men’s basketball team as an assistant coach for the 2019-20 season. Doyle brings over 20 years of coaching experience to the bench, most recently serving as the varsity basketball coach at Bishop Shanahan High School for the past 10 years. Doyle’s teams experienced tremendous growth during his time on the sidelines, highlighted by the program’s first-ever ChesMont League Championship in 2018 and back-to-back PIAA 5A State Tournament appearances in 2017 and 2018.
Doyle is very familiar with the Centennial Conference as he graduated from McDaniel College in 2000 with a degree in sociology. While at McDaniel, he also captained the nationally-ranked golf team and was an all-conference and all-district honoree. Prior to coaching at Bishop Shanahan, Doyle spent seven years as an assistant at the Westtown School and was the junior varsity coach at West Catholic in the Philadelphia Catholic League. He has also served as a camp counselor at the Phil Martelli and Eastern Invitational Basketball camps.
