Kevin Goshorn '18 certainly left his mark on the Haverford College men's lacrosse program in a number of ways. Hailing from New York, Goshorn made an immediate impact as he was one of just 12 players who played in all 14 games during his first-year season in 2015. He contiued to be a steady, reliable force on the field and finished his career with 15 goals, 16 assists, and 47 ground balls out of the midfield.

As that key member of the Fords' nucleus over four years, Goshorn suited up for 55 games throughout his Haverford career. When Goshorn returned to the field during his senior season, his presence helped spark the program's surge back to the Centennial Conference Tournament for the first time in seven years where the Fords joined three teams that were ranked in the top 15 nationally during the semifinal round.

As impressive as his talents on the field were, Goshorn was equally impactful within the Haverford community. After playing with Harlem Lacrosse growing up, Goshorn had the opportunity to speak at the 2017 Harlem Lacrosse Annual Benefit alongside NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown. During his speech, Goshorn had the chance to share his story which served as inspiration for future generations.

The Haverford community had the privilege of hearing Goshorn speak just one year later as he was selected to give the annual senior tribute at the Senior Student-Athlete Awards ceremony. During that awards presentation, Goshorn spoke about the strong culture that was left behind by the Haverford College Class of 2018.

Goshorn graduated from Haverford in the spring of 2018 with a degree in economics before taking a job with Perpay, Inc. where he continues to work in the Philadelphia area.

Throughout the month of February, the Haverford College athletic department will be spotlighting former Black student-athletes, featuring their successes both as athletes and after their graduation in celebration of Black History Month.
