BC takes 6-3 decision over men’s squash in CSA consolation semifinal

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the second straight day the Haverford College men's squash team fell by a 6-3 count at the College Squash Association Team Championships as Boston College downed the Fords in a consolation semifinal match.

Haverford (7-7) received its three victories from the middle of its lineup. Alex Spiliotes won in straight games at No. 3 over Josh Ko. Chris Tyson and Tim Ibbotson-Sindelar continued their hot streaks, each winning for the second time in as many days. Tyson fell behind 2-1 to Teddy Taylor at No. 4, but rebounded to win the last two games, 11-9 and 11-7. At No. 5, Ibbotson-Sindelar had to come from behind as well after dropping the first game to Andrew Zarrilli. Ibbotson-Sindelar went on to win the next three games including a 13-11 fourth.

The Fords conclude their season Sunday morning, taking on the University of Washington for 39th place. The match gets underway at 9:30 a.m.
