Men's squash rolls to 9-0 victory in home finale

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College men's squash team overpowered Penn State grabbing a 9-0 victory Saturday afternoon on the Gardner Integrated Athletic Center squash courts.

The 43rd-ranked Fords move to 4-13 on the season with with their second-consecutive win.

Every Haverford player triumphed over their opponent with 3-0 wins during the course of the contest.

The squad's three seniors made their final home competition a memorable one as each registered commanding victories. Robbie Thompson at No.6, in the first match of the day, took down Mahesh Katrogodda with scores of 11-2, 11-6, and 11-5. Zef Konst, playing at No. 3, surrendered a mere nine points in his match to Vidher Khullal. In the last match of the day, Alex Spiliotes playing at No.1 as he has all season, overcame Ahmad Alhazeem by scores of 11-4, 11-6, and 11-6.

The Fords travel to Penn next weekend to compete in the College Squash Association's National Team Championship.
