Men's Squash Taken Down by Navy and Bucknell

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's squash team lost two matches today to the No. 14 ranked Naval Academy and the Bucknell Bison at the GIAC Squash Courts on Saturday afternoon.

Against Bucknell, freshman Peter Dudley suffered a close five-game loss at the No. 4 position. The freshman won the first two games (11-7) and (14-12), but lost three straight including a tough 13-11 decision in game four. Junior Nathan Vestrich-Shade battled, dropping games one (12-10) and three (11-9) by a combined four points. Junior Alex Egilman and sophomore Chris Hoogstraten picked up 11-9 wins in their contests before bowing out in four. Junior Laurenson Ward tallied an 11-7 win in game one before suffering three straight losses. The Bison won the remaining positions to secure a 9-0 win. 

Earlier in the day, the No. 14 ranked Naval Academy recorded a 9-0 victory over Haverford.

Head coach Niki Clement's squad will host Boston College and Bucknell next Saturday before the College Squash Association's Team Championships (Feb. 13-15).
