Haverford, Pa. – Freshman Zach Cole of the Haverford College men's squash team was named the Harrow Sports College Men's Squash Player of the Week. It's the first time that a Ford on the men's squash team has received the accolade.

Cole went 2-0 in his matches last Saturday vs. Swarthmore and Boston College. Against Hood Trophy rival, Swarthmore, the freshman won against Klarissa Khor in three straight (11-6, 11-2, 11-5).

Against Robert Bohn of Boston College, Cole won games two (11-9) and three (11-8) after dropping game one (11-9). After Bohn tied the match with an 11-6 conquest in game four, the freshman picked up a narrow 14-12 victory in game five to score a crucial point in the Fords' 5-4 win over BC.

Cole is one of only two Fords to have registered 10 wins on the season. He's won five of his last seven matches and is 6-1 at the No. 6 ladder position this year.

Haverford's 10 wins this season are the most since the 2006-07 campaign. The Fords will now wait to find out its rank in the Dunlop Men's College Squash Rankings. The rankings will determine who the Fords face in the College Squash Association Team Championships (Feb. 20-22).
