Men's Squash Season Concludes at CSA Individual Championship

STAMFORD, Conn. – The Haverford College men's squash team was represented by senior Nathan Vestrich-Shade at the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Tournament this weekend at Chelsea Piers in Stamford, Conn. The tournament includes players who are considered the best of college teams throughout the country.

On Saturday morning, Vestrich-Shade competed in the first round of the consolation bracket of the Malloy Cup and was bested by Dartmouth College's Kyle Martino.

Martino defeated the Haverford team captain in three games (11-2, 11-2, 11-3). The match marks the end of a highly successful career at Haverford for Vestrich-Shade.

The Towson, Md. native had been the team captain for two years and played out of the No. 1 latter position since his sophomore season. He concludes his senior year with nine wins and his third consecutive trip to the CSA Individual Tournament.

Next season, head coach Niki Clement's team returns nine of 14 players on the men's team.
