CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Haverford College men's squash team wrapped up play at the MIT Round Robin with a 7-2 win over Northwestern on Sunday morning, pulling its record to 6-4 on the season.  The Fords received solid performances up and down the ladder on Sunday, following up a split on Saturday. Haverford either won or was defeated in five sets at each spot on the ladder in the matinee match with the Wildcats.

Haverford came into its matches with a focus on minimizing errors and was able to stick to a consistent game plan throughout the morning, limiting distractions. An energized team effort led to early sweeps from Zach Cole and Aaron Horwitz before Cyrus Bahadori was nipped in a five-set battle for his first loss of the weekend after starting 4-0 individually.

The next round of matches saw Peter Dudley and Alex Liu pick up wins ahead of a clinching win from Shilin Jog, who clawed back against Maulin Hemani after dropping the first game by a tally of 11-6. Yash Singh picked up a sweep over Michael Leonard, but was faced with a formidable challenge as two of the games went to extra points before Singh was able to prevail valiantly.

Tate Miller took care of Peter Haun at the first spot on the ladder before Ryan Dukarm was outlasted in another five set thriller, this time taking the first two games over Viswajit Kandula before the Wildcat opponent stormed back with three straight wins.

Haverford will next be back in action on Saturday, January 21 taking on Swarthmore (11:00 a.m.) and No. 32 Vassar (2:00 p.m.) at the GIAC Squash Courts on the Haverford campus.
